Dear Resident

Between 17:00 hours on the 12th of August 2025 to 17:20 hours on the 19th of August 2025, Offender(s) have gained entry to a shed at Hawkes Lane, Stevenage and have removed items from within. Please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/78593/25 if you or your neighbours have any information relating to this crime. Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Between 00:01 hours on the 17th of August 2025 to 13:15 hours on the 18th of August 2025, Offender(s) have gained entry to a property located at Fairview Road. The offender(s) has smashed the side door to get into the property. Please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/78141/25 if you or your neighbours have any information relating to this crime. Alternatively, you can give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Please be vigilant and do report any suspicious activity or behaviour in the area.

Tips to prevent burglary:

l Check downstairs windows and doors are securely locked before you leave or go to bed. 

l Use a “Fake TV” or timer switches on lamps to give the impression someone is at home.

l Don’t leave keys, phones or other valuables on window sills or in any other visible place.

l Secure UPVC doors by lifting the handle and locking it to engage the security features.

l Consider using a doorbell camera, interior camera or a monitored burglar alarm.

l Securely lock rear gates, sheds and garages. 

l Keep tools and ladders locked away, as they could be used to break into your home.
